How a piece happens

Four steps.

Pour within 10 minutes. Take it out after 30. Wait a day or two before sanding.

Weigh

Powder and water on the scales. 3 parts powder to 1 part water.

Mix

Colour goes in the water first. Stir for a minute.

Pour

Slowly into the mould. Tap out the bubbles.

Demould

After 30 minutes, peel the mould off.

Can I do this if I have never made anything?

Yes. Mix powder and water. Pour it into a mould. Wait half an hour. The guide shows every step. Your first piece will not be perfect. That is normal.

What do I need from home?

Kitchen scales, water and a table you can wipe. Sandpaper helps but you do not need it.

How long does it take?

Mixing takes a minute. Pour within 10 minutes. Take the piece out after 30. Wait a day or two before sanding.

Is it safe?

Yes, if you follow the bag. Do not eat it. Do not breathe the dust. Keep it out of your eyes and away from children. Do not pour leftover mix down the sink.

Do I need a bigger kit to make good pieces?

No. The small kit has everything for a first piece. Bigger kits just have more.

Can I sell what I make?

Yes. It is yours. Two of the guides help with photos, wrapping and prices. Selling is your choice.

What colours come in the kits?

There are five colours: Soft Charcoal, Soft Brown, Sand Ochre, Soft Green and Mist Blue. We are still choosing which go in each kit.
